55 days…55 days until I walk down that aisle in Bettcher with that cap and gown. It’s so hard to wait for it. With all this bullshit AP testing, it looks like it’ll never come. I did get a glimpse of it today though. My mom and I went to the Cargo Warehouse in Vermillion and she told me that my aunts wanted to get me a graduation present. So she was like…pick a watch. I wasn’t about to go get a rolex or anything, but I went to the Luminox case b/c I really like their watches. Our neighbor who works at Cargo Warehouse pointed out a Luminox watch in the catalog and I basically splooged my pants. I’m not sure when it’ll arrive, but I’m so excited
I finally got to see the second part of the “Cartoon Wars” series of South Park on Friday night, and was surprised that they showed the episode on Good Friday. If you don’t know what happened, this is it: at the end of the episode, after Al Qaeda is all pissed that Family Guy showed a depiction of Mohammed, they retaliate by showing a short movie of Americans crapping all over eachother. Then President Bush comes out and craps on everyone, then Jesus comes out and does the same. If it had been any other day, I woulda just chuckled or w/e. But Good Friday…to put it in my sister’s words was “distasteful”. The whole bitch fight between kyle and cartman was really funny though.
By the way, I got to see Scary Movie 4 with Sevi tonight. If you have any time, you should check it out. It’s a lot better than the 3rd one…but not as good as the first.

Hah! Had you all fooled. Looks like I’m not going to be going to Tufts afterall. For a while there, I was flip-flopping between the two universities, but it came down to Emory after talking to Jeff / Lukman, some medical school factors, location, and most importantly, visiting the school. The weather was awesome the day I visited. When I arrived on campus, I was wowed by how sweet everything looked. They got a lot of money from this guy Woodruff, who I believe was the CEO of Coca-Cola (and had some sort of relationship w/ the university). Well, he donated like $120 million in stocks a while ago, right before Diet Coke came out. The stocks skyrocketed, and now they have one of the top 10 endowments for a university in the nation. Emory now has all this money to just throw around campus. They’re knocking down old dorm halls and just building new ones. They ask the student body what they want most and then build it. If you see the computer labs and rock wall, you’ll know what I mean. I got to visit an organic chem class too. The professor of the class was really personal with the students, which was a very nice touch. The food at the DUC (Dobbs University Center) was pretty good for cafeteria style food, surprising in fact. My mom and I couldn’t help but splooge at the Emory Bookstore, buying a bunch of t-shirts, a hoody, some banners…yeah…Anyways, I’m really excited to go
Now that I’ve officially decided on where I’m going, I’m not so guilty making my Emory facebook anymore. It’s kind of annoying that I have to start a new account and send friend invites to everyone again…but whatever.
It’s kinda weird that I never posted a new blog post when I had absolutely nothing to do all night, but now that I have chem and calc exams tomorrow, I’ve decided to procrastinate. All I know is….these tests don’t matter. Just have to study for the AP, and I’m just going to coast through the rest of the year
BTW, check out the links on the right side of the page, there’s some really funny videos up.

So in Greece and Italy, I found out that I was rejected from Johns Hopkins. After that first period of depression, sorrow, etc, i got over it. Shyaam (Dr. Mo’s nephew) and Geneva basically made me realize it wasn’t the end of the world. By the end of the night though, I found out I was accepted to Tufts! After talking to my parents, I’ve realized that this probably will work out better for me. My sister had told my mom that JHU is way too cut-throat, and that Tufts is a better fit for me. It’s great to be excited about the college I’m accepted to, and I can’t wait for the open house. Plus, I get to be near Emily, Geneva, Helena (kinda), maybe Max if he decides on Harvard, and a bunch of other ppl.
I’m going to be working on my pics from Greece and Italy the rest of the night, so check Flickr sometime later to see the spring break pics.
