Movies…

Quick reviews!!

Nacho Libre: Complete waste of time. Don’t watch it unless you like paying $8 to sleep. I know I don’t. I’ll tell you the 2 funny parts of the movie right now.

“Beneath the clothes…is a man. And beneath the man…is a nucleus.”

The other is when Jack Black or his sidekick throws a corn-on-the-cob at some dude’s eyeball.

Overall Grade: D+

The Lake House: A much more fun movie where Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves are two years apart but fall in love. You might think, “well…why doesn’t she just tell him to meet her in a couples years at a certain spot?” The writers had their grounds covered, but there may be some moments where you’re like…wtf? That’s where the writers just stay “Fuck You and Watch the Movie”. And watch you shall.

Overall Grade: B

Here’s a little e-mail forward my sister sent me. All you sophomores (now juniors) who took chemistry or honors chemistry will appreciate it:

Run, Lola, Run

Run Lola Run

Due to Sebastian’s recommendation, I picked up this movie called Run, Lola, Run. It’s about a girl who’s boyfriend needs $100,000 within 20 minutes or else he’ll get killed. The movie goes through different scenarious upon which she tries to get that money in that limited amount of time. It also shows how her interaction with strangers during that time affects their lives. It won the audience award at the sundance film festival. Is it worth buying? Perhaps…definately worth the rent. If u wanna watch it, just ask and I’ll lend it to you. Another thanks to sebastian for recommending it.

Overall Grade: B+

Best Book Ever

The CollegeHumor Guide to College : Selling Kidneys for Beer Money, Sleeping with Your Professors, Majoring in Communications, and Other Really Good Ideas

Thank you so much to the Silbert Family. This is by far one of the funniest things I’ve ever read.

Finally Beat Call of Duty 2

As you can see, I finished the entire American Campaign in ONE day. I’m such a beast…even though it took me about 8 months to get this game done on veteran. Whatever, I passed the 8000 mark for my gamerscore :)

Gurpal’s graduation party was awesome by the way. I’ve discovered that Indian dancing is the way to go because there’s no wrong way to do it. Props to the brown crowd.

Graduation

class06

So it’s almost been two weeks since I’ve last posted. I’m such a lazy ass, I’m sorry. I could blame it on graduation and all the parties, but I’d just be lying to myself. I’ve spent a lot of time just laying around on my butt playing games or buying new shit. So lets backtrack, shall we?

mmm…Graduation. I started the morning off with a nice nose bleed that I thought was foreshadowing of the day to come. It wasn’t…anyways, after waiting around in Mr Unger’s room for The Longest Time (ha…i crack myself up), we finally lined up and processed. The only part of the ceremony where I felt totally amazed was when I walked down the aisle with Alexi. It was as if all the blood rushed from my head and my vision got blurry. Besides that though..nothing really special. My sister managed to mess up my graduation pics when using my Digital Rebel XT though. She turned the knob to the wrong setting :(. Afterwards was a night of partying again and again and again. I did start to get gifts from people that can’t make my graduation, and I’ve already passed the $1,000 mark. Go me.
